Earl Pote leads a high flying life. When he’s not bouncing around the world as an Extreme Pogo (Xpogo) Champion, he serves as a Senior Airman with the United States Air Force. As his profile at Xpogo.com describes: “Passionate, and wholly committed to the sport’s growth, Earl made a name for himself in the Xpogo community early on and continues to inspire jumpers with his creativity and dedication.” We had the chance to chat with Earl about his life as an Xpogo athlete and his love for JNCO:

Where are you from?
Chicago, IL but I currently live in Rapid City, SD due to being in the Air Force.
Tell us about X Pogo and how you got into it.
Extreme pogo is a young, developing sport officially established in 1999. I got into it when a friend and I were at a local carnival in 2002 (I was 12 years old) and we saw a cheap pogo stick abandoned by a Ferris wheel. We took it and started messing around with it and thought there must be more to this. We looked it up online later that day and found xpogo.com. At the time there were only a few people around the world involved with the sport, and we all kept in touch on a forum on the website. It all started there, and we pretty much built the sport to what it is today by coming up with innovative new tricks and posting videos and pictures on the forum.
What are your hobbies?
My main hobby and focus is my sport, and being in the military there's barely enough time for me to even do that. I do like to work on cars in my spare time though.
Who are your fashion/lifestyle inspirations?
Lifestyle inspiration- Rodney Mullen. Since I first saw one of his videos many years ago, I have been inspired by him. He is the main influence behind my style of extreme pogo, which is flatland.
What do you like best about JNCO?
JNCO has been my brand for as far back as I can remember. When I was younger JNCO was all I wore, and when they initially went out of business, I was devastated. Before their comeback I had never spent extra money on name brand clothing because the only brand I've ever been loyal to was JNCO. My favorite thing about JNCO is durable and comfortable clothing.

How does JNCO align with your lifestyle?
JNCO stands for "Journey of the Chosen Ones: A multitude of like-minded individuals with a shared passion for culture, sports and the arts." This statement alone matches my lifestyle pretty well.
Why do you think there's a demand for 90s fashion again?
All the 90s kids are growing up and having kids of their own, and they want their kids to be just as fashionable as they were back in the day.
What's your favourite JNCO product?
Although I love the baggy jeans and I wear them often, my favorite product would have to be the Woozy-Tagger Black jeans. Baggy jeans do not work for my sport at all. They will get caught on handlebars and terrible things will and have happened in the past. The Woozy jeans and only slightly baggy and are very soft, comfortable, and stretchy. They are my go-to jeans and I wore them in every video clip of my new video.
Why would you recommend JNCO to others?
JNCO is fashionable, comfortable, and tough, and they're not terribly expensive. Plus it’s just a cool brand that everyone my age grew up with.
