10 Celebs Bringing Back 90s Style

More and more celebrities are bringing back celebrated 90s style and we love it! Chokers, dark lips, and denim from head to toe – we can’t get enough. Here are ten celebrities bringing 90s style back with a modern flair:

Kourtney Kardashian

Kourtney Kardashian has been obsessed with chokers recently. Whether a choker necklace or a shirt with incorporated choker detail, she is bringing this trend back with style. She’s even completing the 90s look with crop tops and the iconic black leather motorcycle jacket – not to mention full leather outfits!

A$AP Rocky

A$AP Rocky’s trademark braids bring back visions of the 90s giving us a major flashback to Coolio circa 1995. Teaming up with “fashion killa” Rihanna on a collection of fashion campaigns and appearances, A$AP is turning this throwback style into a modern, high-fashion look.

When Lorde hit the scene in 2013, she stole our hearts with her dark and sultry vocals – a voice that was met with an equally dark and sultry look. With dark lips, and wild, natural hair, her trending look is quite reminiscent of the witchy style presented 1996 cult classic, The Craft

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen

It’s no secret that Mary-Kate and Ashley can pull off the retro look. One of their signature looks is natural, wavy hair parted down the centre, paired with round metal frame sunglasses – a beloved 90s accessory. The rounded metal frame has also graced the faces of other notable celebrities included Beyoncé and Kendall Jenner.

Rihanna has evolved into a major leader in the fashion world, and she routinely brings back 90s trends with a new, modern twist. Whether it’s choker necklaces, dark lips, denim on denim, oversized overalls, a full head of thick braids, or platform shoes and high school-girl socks, Rihanna can do no wrong!

Jessica Alba

Doc Martens have snuck their way into many decades since their founding, but their prevalence in the grunge age of the 90s was by far their best (at least in our, perhaps biased, opinion). While Doc Martens have typically been donned by punk kids and the lead singers of ska bands, Hollywood’s starlets have been adopting the comfortable footwear, dressing them up for a shabby chic look.

Blake Lively

Blake Lively is known for her effortless, easy breezy style. She is well-known for her beautiful silky hair, routinely tousled for a fresh, beachy look. When met with accent braids, Blake gives us a whimsical reminder of the 90s.

Taylor Swift

While Taylor has undergone a series of style transformations, matching two-piece outfits and floral prints – often at the same time – routinely find their way into Taytay’s wardrobe. These easy go-to looks donned by young women in the 90s are back!

Kanye West

Kanye West is no stranger to fashion. He has recently become a leading designer himself, gracing the runways of numerous fashion weeks. Kanye has been known to rock denim on denim teamed with a thick gold chain reminiscent of the classic rappers of the 90s.

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus has been known to rock a double-bun with ease. While ruthlessly sticking out her tongue in every picture, and wearing bold, iridescent makeup, Miley makes us miss those 90s house parties we enjoyed so much back in the day.

Who else do you admire for bringing back 90s style? Let us know in the comments!
